Helena Agri-Enterprises announced today the documentary series Innovation Never Stops at the 98th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana. Thousands of teachers and students received an advance look at the nine-part video series debuting next week, which showcases different aspects of agriculture and the innovative technologies behind farming today. Each episode includes companion curriculum designed to take lessons from the field to the classroom and broaden student knowledge of the industry and its impact on their lives.
“It’s critical to do everything we can to support the next generation of ag innovators,” says Bill Smith, Strategic Marketing Manager with Helena Products Group. “No one does this better than FFA, and as a proud, decades-long supporter of their efforts, Helena is doing its part by telling the real-life stories of the men and women who feed, clothe and fuel our world.”
Innovation Never Stops takes viewers on a journey across the country, visiting laboratories, research facilities and diverse growing operations to reveal how Helena products come to life and drive progress. Told through the experiences of farmers and the Helena experts working alongside them, it explores agronomic challenges and uncovers solutions to define what it means to innovate. Throughout the series, what starts with an experiment at the Helena Products Group (HPG) Innovation Center in Tennessee goes through years of refinement before finding its place on a sugarcane farm in Louisiana, a livestock operation in Pennsylvania or a potato field in Idaho.
Lesson plans break down episodes into vocabulary, fun facts and discussion topics for youth, with the goal of introducing students to the world of crop science and ag business and the career opportunities they provide.
