Boxed beef prices were slightly higher on Thursday. The Choice cutout increased by $0.05 to $371.28, and the Select cutout rose $0.63 to $354.18, narrowing the Choice/Select spread to $17.10. A total of 116 loads were reported.
Among primals, the Rib edged up to $638.06 from $637.77, Chuck increased to $301.81 from $298.55, and Brisket rose to $323.68 from $322.47. Plate and Flank were also slightly higher at $249.74 and $187.21, respectively. In contrast, Round declined to $302.67 from $305.73, and Loin eased to $477.73 from $479.69.
