The live animal and genetics sales connected to Cattlemen’s Congress jumped over a million dollars in total for 2026 versus 2025. For the sales that were held on site – 7.59 million dollars were generated in 2025 with $9.29 million dollars brought in for 2026 in primarily the Barn Three Sales Arena. When you add the sales directly linked to Congress but held away from State Fair Park- the 2025 tally was $12.4 million while 2026 saw the final number at $14.1 million, an increase of $1.7 million. That total does not reflect the millions of dollars of private treaty sales that likely occurred in the barns and at Cattlemen’s Bar over the complete run of the sixth annual Cattlemen’s Congress.
On Monday, the second of two days of speech competition was held- coordinated and hosted by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture. About 90 students competed in three age categories from multiple states- First place winners were named in the five categories- click here to see who the winners were in the second half of this national contest.

One feature that we wanted to point you to from our Oklahoma Farm Report website is the conversation that Farm and Ranch Director KC Sheperd has with Brahman breeder Catherine Newmayr of the V8 Ranch in Wharton County Texas.
