Dally Ag, LLC is helping crop producers battle the tough conditions of northwest Texas with innovative products from Meristem Crop Performance®.
“More growers are realizing some changes are needed to boost crop performance and there are new products to help, but they don’t necessarily know what products they need or exactly how they can fit in with their operation,” said Anthony Booth, owner of Dally Ag based in Idalou, Texas, just northeast of Lubbock. “That is where they can come to us to find the solutions they need.”

“We have a lot of grower need for Meristem products such as the Hopper Throttle products and the foliar options that are increasingly prominent in in our area,” Booth said. “Generations of growers have been applying nutrients that are tied up in the soil and not readily available to the plants. We’re seeing the ability to unlock some of these nutrients with the planter box treatments and then we can come in with some of the foliar-applied products from Meristem and really see results. They also have a great price point compared with anything else that the growers in our area have been trying.”
Booth looks at soil tests, sap tests and, of course, yield results to monitor the performance of the products he recommends.
“The sap samples we got back after using Hopper Throttle treatments on soybeans were off the charts. The nutrient levels in the plants were night and day difference between treated and non-treated,” Booth said. “We had a grower who did a test plot with Harvestshield Complete on wheatlage. He compared it to the foliar product he’d already been using right next to it. When his chopper was in the previous foliar treatment he’d been using, he was running at about 86%
capacity. When he hit the Harvestshield plot, his chopper instantly went to 100% capacity, to the point where the driver shut off the machine and asked the grower about what the difference was at that spot in the field. That is why we work with Meristem products. They have proven themselves. I don’t hang my hat on anything that’s not proven. I know I can look that grower in the eye and tell him this Meristem product will work.”
Performance must pay, and Meristem products continue to be up to the task.
