Choice Boxed Beef Retreats $1.80 on Thursday- Now Sitting at $414.21
After hitting a new high for calendar year 2025 on Wednesday, Choice Boxed Beef retreated $1.80 and finished Thursday at $414.21. Select Beef slipped just 4 cents to $387.77. The Choice-Select spread narrowed to $26.44, with volume a substantial 142 loads, up from 103 loads on Wednesday.

Choice Boxed Beef Back in Record Territory- Up $2.59 to $416.01, the Highest Level of 2025 and Highest Ever in September
Boxed beef prices moved higher Wednesday, with the Choice cutout up $2.59 to $416.01/cwt, the highest level of 2025 and the highest ever for September.
