Fri, 07 May 2021 15:47:46 CDT

Cotton Incorporated Hosting Pathways to Progress Webinar Over the last 35 years, U.S. cotton producers, researchers, and industry organizations have been committed to implementing innovative farm-level technologies, management systems, and conservation practices. These improvements have led to increases in cotton fiber yield while bettering our natural resources. Now, the U.S. cotton industry is preparing for the future by setting goals on the path towards sustainable farming. To learn more, join Cotton Incorporated on Tuesday, May 11 at 2 p.m.

Cotton Incorporatedís Chief Sustainability Officer, Dr. Jesse Daystar and Vice President of Agriculture and Environmental Research, Dr. Kater Hake will discuss the goal-setting process by the U.S. cotton industry as well as the path producers, researchers, and stakeholders are on to achieve these goals.

This webinar will also focus on the sustainability goal to increase land-use efficiency and how this goal is heavily connected to the other five sustainability goals:
∑ Increase soil carbon
∑ Decrease greenhouse gas emissions
∑ Decrease soil loss per acre
∑ Decrease water use
∑ Decrease energy use
