Winter Wheat Headed Advances to 43%, Condition Ratings Remain Weak In This Weeks Crop Progress

According to the latest crop progress report released on April 27th, 2026, Oklahoma’s winter wheat headed is at 43%, while winter wheat conditions are rated 14% good to excellent, 45% very poor to poor, and 41% fair.

Kansas winter wheat headed is at 43% winter wheat crop is ranked 23% good to excellent, 36% fair, and 41% poor to very poor.

Texas winter wheat crop is at 12% good to excellent, 32% fair, and 56% poor to very poor, while winter wheat headed for the state is at 65%.

Nationally, winter wheat condition ranks 30% Good to excellent, 35% fair, and 35% poor to very poor. Winter wheat headed nationally currently sits at 34%.

Corn Statistics

Kansas corn planted sits at 29% this week, compared to 37% a year ago. Kansas corn emerged is at 11%

Texas corn planted is at 71% this week, down from 73% a year ago. Texas corn emerged is at 64%

Nationally, corn planted is at 25%, and corn emerged is at 7%

Soybean statistics:

Kansas soybeans planted are at 15% this week.

Nationally, soybeans planted are at 23% this week, and soybeans emerged are at 8%

Cotton statistics:

Kansas cotton planted is at 3% this week.

Texas cotton planted is at 20% this week, even with a year ago.

Nationally, cotton planted sits at 16%.

Sorghum statistics:
