
In the latest Crop Progress report from USDA, the U.S. Corn Crop is rated 61% Good to Excellent this week, down 2 points from last week. Soybean crop conditions are 63% good to excellent this week, equal to last week.
The U.S. cotton crop is rated 42% good to excellent this week, down 3 points from a week ago. For the U.S. grain sorghum crop, the latest good-to-excellent ratings are 36%, down 5 points from last week.
Winter Wheat harvest now stands at 86%, compared to 81% one week ago and 85% at this point last year.
Pasture and Range
In the southern plains, Oklahoma pasture and range conditions are now ranked 26% good to excellent, versus 32% last week and 68% a year ago. Poor to very poor ratings are now at 35%, versus 29% a week ago and 9% a year ago.
Kansas good to excellent conditions are ranked at 44% compared to 50% last week and 68% a year ago. Poor to very poor conditions are ranked 23% this week, 20% last week, and 12% a year ago.
Texas good to excellent conditions are ranked 26% this week, 36% last week, and 50% a year ago. Poor to very poor conditions are ranked 38% this week, 32% a week ago, and 13% a year ago.
The 48-state national pasture and range conditions are now at 25% good to excellent versus 29% last week and 44% one year ago. Poor to very poor ratings nationally are at 46% this week versus 42% last week and 26% one year ago.
Corn Statistics:
Oklahoma corn silking is at 92%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 51% good to excellent, 28% fair, and 21% poor to very poor.
Kansas corn silking is at 83%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 46% good to excellent, 30% fair, and 24% poor to very poor.
Texas corn silking is at 94%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 41% good to excellent, 30% fair, and 29% poor to very poor.
Soybean statistics:
Oklahoma soybeans blooming are at 54%. Oklahoma soybean conditions rank as follows: 27% good to excellent, 41% fair, and 32% poor to very poor.
Kansas soybeans blooming are at 71%. Kansas soybean conditions rank as follows: 59% good to excellent, 32% fair, and 9% poor to very poor.
Texas soybeans blooming are at 81%. Texas soybean conditions rank as follows: 58% good to excellent, 29% fair, and 13% poor to very poor.
