National Association of State Departments of Agriculture thanks U.S. Deputy Secretary Bronaugh for her service to U.S. agriculture

Today the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture CEO Ted McKinney released the following statement to express the organization and its members’ gratitude for Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Dr. Jewel Bronaugh’s service to our country.

“NASDA thanks Deputy Secretary Bronaugh for her admirable service to U.S. agriculture. She led first in her role leading the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), then as Deputy Secretary of Agriculture at USDA as confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

In that role, she first listened, and united the industry to overcome challenges and embrace opportunities together. Her leadership in guiding the very first USDA Equity Commission proved her steady hand and sense of fairness. She also led international agricultural trade missions to further grow agricultural trade. These are but representative portions of her job as many other tasks and projects came her way. She has made a lasting impact for communities around the nation and world, and she will always be a part of the NASDA family. We are forever grateful for her service and her friendship,” McKinney said.
