Another Hot Week With Low Rainfall Chances

Hopefully everyone enjoyed the cooler days we had throughout the weekend because its going to Heat Up!

State Climatologist Gary McManus says we have seen hot temps this summer, But this one is going to stick around a bit, “Now we get into a true heat wave, one that will last a good (bad) 7-10 days, and possibly beyond that. And while these temps don’t appear to be thermonuclear, we do see the Panhandle possibly breaking some record highs today, originally set back in 1936.”

While the drought monitor did look much better last week, it doesn’t look like we will see any rainfall soon as McManus says that is not on the radar for this week. To see more from Gary McManus on his daily ticker, click here:
