Fun Fall Events Scheduled for Stockyards City

We are still a few months away, but its time to mark your calendar for some fun upcoming events in Stockyards City!

Stockyards City Main Street would like to invite everyone to attend the annual Stockyards Stampede event that will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Activities will be held throughout the district.

The Slash O’ Ranch Longhorns will kick off the event at 10:00 a.m. by parading down the street. They will begin at the iconic Oklahoma National Stockyards archway on Exchange.

An authentic Chuck Wagon camp will be set up where you can view demonstrations of traditional cooking. At noon, samplings of cobbler, stew, cornbread and more will be on hand.

The Oklahoma Opry stage will feature live music by many talented entertainers. The Little Miss and Mr. Stockyards City pageant will begin at noon.

A Made in Oklahoma Market will include locally made and produced items.

The Kids Corral will have many fun activities for kids of all ages! Come get your picture made with some adorable alpacas and a llama. It will also be an opportunity to learn about the importance of agriculture in Oklahoma.

Equestrian groups will be stationed throughout the event and sharing their love of horses.

This will be a perfect opportunity to experience all that is Stockyards City! Visit the restaurants, shops, and get pictures of the things you can only see in Stockyards City!

The entire event is family friendly. Join us on Saturday, October 21st for this year’s Stockyards Stampede.

Stockyards City Tree Lighting

Come to Stockyards City on Friday, November 17th to help us light the Stockyards City Christmas Tree!  

There will be entertainment, Cowboy Santa and hot chocolate for everyone!

Cowboy Christmas Parade

Stockyards City Main Street invites you to Historic Stockyards City for the annual Cowboy Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 2nd!  The festivities kick off at 10:00 a.m. with the Slash O Ranch Longhorns leading the parade.   Also included in the parade are equestrian groups, marching bands, antique cars, community groups, law enforcement, pageant royalty, the famous Cowboy Santa, and much more!  

Following the parade, there will be lots of other activities.  You can get your picture made with Cowboy Santa, enjoy live entertainment and hot chocolate.

Shop the unique locally owned stores.  You might even find a few surprises, so plan on stayin’ a while!
