Free webinars to discuss parasite control in cattle

The Oklahoma State University Extension Rancher’s Thursday Lunchtime Series will continue webinar presentations this month on navigating new guidelines and parasite control.

The series features timely information on beef production, management and marketing from the OSU Extension beef cattle team, experienced ranchers and scientists. The following sessions are free and begin at noon.

August 17 – New Guidelines for Use of Antibiotic Products in Beef Production Systems

  • Dr. Rosslyn Biggs, Extension veterinarian and clinical assistant professor, veterinary clinical sciences, OSU

August 24 – Internal Parasite Management in the Cow Herd

  • Dr. Christine Navarre, Extension veterinarian, Louisiana State University AgCenter

August 31 – Parasite Resistance to Anthelmintic Products

  • Dr. John Gilliam, clinical professor of food animal production medicine and field service, veterinary clinical sciences, OSU

September 7 – New Implant Guidelines in Beef Production Systems

  • Brad Johnson, Gordon W. Davis Chair and professor, animal and food sciences, Texas Tech University
