Oklahoma Hay Market Report Shows Hay Slow to Steady

Compared to the last report: Hay is slow to steady. The demand in eastern Oklahoma is high. The central and western part trade is slow to moderate.


Trends so far: Alfalfa Large squares $200-$225 a ton, Alfalfa Rounds – No Tred, Grinding hay – $170-$180 a ton, Bermuda 5×6 rounds – $100-$120 a bale, Bermuda Large Squares – No Trend, Grass Hay 4×5-4×6 – $60-$70 a bale, Grass Hay 5×6 – $70-$80 a bale.

The Oklahoma Mesonet Drought Monitor shows we are at 0 percent in exceptional drought, 1.60 percent in an extreme drought, 5.35 percent in severe drought, 12.75 percent in moderate, 35.99 percent in abnormally dry conditions, 64.01 percent that has no drought conditions.
