Listen to Reagan Calk talk with Mariah Reimer about the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation Women’s Seminar.

Associate Farm Editor, Reagan Calk, had the chance to talk with the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation, Mariah Reimer, about the upcoming Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation Women’s Seminar. Open to women of all ages, the event is set for 9 a.m. on September 21st at the Oklahoma State University Alumni Center in Click Hall.

“The inspiration behind the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation Women’s Seminar was mainly to get a broad audience of women, both involved in agriculture and not involved in agriculture, and help them find the bridge gap,” Reimer said.

As all women are in different places in their lives, whether they may be in college looking for the start of their career or currently pursuing a career and looking for that next step- Reimer said the event is aimed to help those women gain the confidence, skill set, and support system to take further action.

“With this seminar, I am hoping to find women of all ages and help bridge those gaps and help them professionally develop those skills and find confidence and purpose in where they are supposed to fit in any industry,” Reimer said.

In summary, Reimer said the event is to help women of all ages find their place, gain confidence in it, and feel inspired and empowered to make the next step.

There will be a group of dynamic speakers, beginning with auctioneer and motivational speaker, Joni Nash, at 9 a.m.

“She (Joni Nash) is just a ball of energy, she is passionate, and she has a wealth of skills and knowledge,” Reimer said.

The second speaker of the day is Emerge, Consulting Founder, Amie Haar. The third speaker will be OSU Women’s Basketball Head Coach Jacie Hoyt, and lastly, the day will finish up with Callison Ranch Owner, Nikki Callison.

During the luncheon, Reimer said there will be opportunities to network, as she expects an attendance of 120 individuals. There will also be a headshot station and a custom hat bar for attendees to check out, she added.

“Of course, we might have a special guest, Pistol Pete, come by, and we are going to have words from the President of Oklahoma CattleWomen’s and our Executive Vice President of the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association,” Reimer said. “We are also going to have Ag Secretary Blayne Arthur come and say a few words and give a few updates on agriculture across our state.”

Reimer said to top the day off, attendees will leave with a goodie bag from Vinedresser Boutique.

Students can receive a discount to register for only 20 dollars, Reimer said, with their student ID.
