USDA’s Troy Marshall Talks Significant Changes Seen in September Crop Production Report

Listen to Reagan Calk talk with Troy Marshall about the September Crop Production report.

Associate Farm Editor, Reagan Calk, had the chance to visit with Oklahoma State Statistician for the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service, Troy Marshall, about the highlights from the latest USDA Crop Production Report released on September 12, 2023.

Marshall said this year is the 161st year of the crop production report.

“September is the second time that we look at these row crops, so it is a really good glimpse, and producers can have a better feel of what is going on,” Marshall said.

This September report is the first time big changes will be seen in harvested acres, Marshall added.
