This week, leaders from the Republican Main Street Caucus and the House Freedom Caucus worked in good faith to negotiate a 31-day continuing resolution that seeks to secure the border, fund our military and veterans, and rein in out-of-control spending. The negotiations took place between Representatives Stephanie Bice, Dusty Johnson, Kelly Armstrong, Byron Donalds, Chip Roy, and Scott Perry.
Congresswoman Bice issued the following statement:
“Over the last few days, I have worked with my colleagues in the Republican Main Street Caucus and leaders of the House Freedom Caucus to negotiate a short-term continuing resolution. This legislation is laser focused on securing the border and fixing Biden’s Border Crisis. In addition, it will protect funding for our military and veterans while working to rein in out-of-control spending. It is imperative that we address the issues that are affecting everyday Americans and this bill does just that.”
