Congresswoman Bice issued the following statement:
“I have repeatedly worked to negotiate packages that cut spending, secure our border, and take care of our men and women in uniform. However, I refuse to let our troops, border patrol agents, and countless other federal employees throughout Oklahoma’s Fifth Congressional District to go without pay and be pawns in this process. This is why I voted to give Congress 45 days to continue our work as we seek to restore fiscal responsibility in Washington, D.C. In this interim period, I will focus on working to end Biden’s Border Crisis and pass fiscally responsible appropriations bills.”
