Listen to KC Sheperd talk with Mary Huddleston about her seven-minute MIA shopping spree.
Sweepstake winner, Mary Huddleston

To celebrate National Pork Month on October 24, a free Prairie Fresh pork lunch was served, courtesy of the Made in Oklahoma Coalition, Oklahoma Pork Council, Head Country, and Homeland Stores. Following the lunch, an MIO product sweepstakes winner was drawn from over 3,000 entries. The winner was notified on Saturday and chosen as Mary Huddleston of Logan County. She had 7 minutes to load her cart full of MIO products throughout the store, and at the end of that 7 minutes, she had loaded up TWO carts of MIO products, including Ice Cream, Craft Beer, Pork Products, Pies, Milk, Mixes and More!

Farm Director, KC Sheperd, had the chance to visit with the winner, Mary Huddleston, who first heard about the promotion on Facebook, had the chance to fill her shopping cart with MIO products during a seven-minute shopping spree.

“I am so thankful and grateful for the opportunity,” Huddleston said. With the Cost of everything on the rise these days, Huddleston said her eye was on all the Meat Products, “Meat! Pork! I use Shawnee Mills religiously so I will also be on that aisle, and Head Country BBQ Sauce, I mean these are our favorites at our house.”

Over 100 people had already been through the line when we arrived around 12:30, including Ag Secretary Blayne Arthur and Deputy Commissioner JanLee Rowlett.
