Congressman Cole Proudly Supports Critical Aid to Israel

Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04), Vice Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 6126, the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, which would provide $14.3 billion in security funding related to Hamas’ attacks on Israel. Cole supported the legislation.

“Aggression against the United States and our friends and allies has increased in recent years,” said Cole. “ And over the last few weeks we have watched in horror as the evil terrorist organization Hamas has brutally slaughtered innocent Israeli civilians, and other Iranian-backed proxies have attacked bystanders across the region. This critical security supplemental to Israel not only replenishes American defense stockpiles but enhances Iron Dome and other Israeli defense systems while expanding safety and readiness for U.S. personnel and citizens serving in the area. I stand firmly with Israel and its right to defend itself in full force against terror. It is of great importance that Congress and the president come together to provide Israel aid, and I am proud the House took the first step to do so.”
