2023 OKFB Annual Meeting to Feature Policy Development, Trade Show, Fellowship and More

Listen to Ron Hays talk with Rodd Moesel about the 2023 OKFB Annual Meeting.

Senior Farm and Ranch Broadcaster, Ron Hays, is catching up with the President of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau, Rodd Moesel, to talk about the 2023 OKFB Annual Meeting to be held on November 10-13 at the Omni Hotel in Downtown Oklahoma City.

The three-day event will feature Young Farmers and Ranchers competitive events, Women’s Leadership Committee luncheon, Farm Bureau policy development, the election of statewide Farm Bureau leaders, and more.

One special guest that will be in attendance, Moesel said, is the President of the American Farm Bureau Federation, Zippy Duvall. The head of the AFBF Women’s Leadership Committee, Isabelle Chism, will also be at the event along with the Young Farmers and Ranchers committee chair, Matt Fimon.

A feature of the Saturday meeting, Moesel said, will be the Grassroots Business Sessions, where members will vote on the organization’s grassroots policy positions, considering resolutions by county Farm Bureaus from around the state.

Moesel said the meeting as a whole will provide visitors with the chance to fellowship with their fellow agriculturalists and leaders from across the state.

“The most important thing of all is the visiting that occurs in the hallways, sitting out in the foyers in the evening and between sessions as we all visit with each other and exchange notes of how our crops or cattle have done this year…,” Moesel said.

Another highlight of the meeting, Moesel said, will be the Farm and Ranch Family Recognition on Saturday evening.

“It is really fun to celebrate those winners each year,” Moesel said.
