Groups Urge Extension of Critical Tax Provisions

On Wednesday, the Rural & Agriculture Council of America (RACA) and six other organizations representing rural and agricultural interests wrote a letter to Congressional leaders urging extension of several tax provisions that are set to expire or have already expired.

In the letter, the groups state, “Agricultural businesses, of which 98 percent are operated by individuals or families, rely on investments in the best equipment, innovative technologies, and latest research to sustain this level of economic output. Extending the research and development tax incentives will continue to drive innovation in the agricultural sector and maintain a resilient and secure national food supply.”
