Demand for Hay Remains Low

Compared to the last report: Demand remains low. Overall, total hay bought and sold was up a little, with most producers reporting that they are still not trading much hay, with most trades being to previous clients. Many producers anticipate not much movement over the next couple of weeks, even with the cold temperatures and winter storms.

The Oklahoma Mesonet Drought Monitor shows we are at 0 percent in exceptional drought, 0 percent in an extreme drought, 1.67 percent in severe drought, 15.01 percent in moderate, 34.19 percent in abnormally dry conditions, and 65.81 percent that has no drought conditions.
