Welcome to President’s Day- What’s Closed and What’s Not

Many State Offices are closed for President’s Day- but the State Legislature meets today- business as usual there.

Welcome to the 2024 version of President’s Day holiday- which is being celebrated by the Federal Government and many states- including Oklahoma. With the Feds taking the day off- don’t expect mail delivery and don’t try to visit your local FSA or NRCS office. And the stock market and agricultural futures markets are closed on Monday.

HOWEVER- our cattle auctions will be operating as usual across the region- for example, the Oklahoma National Stockyards in Oklahoma City has over 11,000 head to sell today- starting at 6:30 AM.

It’s full speed ahead for state lawmakers on President’s Day- click here for what’s happening in the House today- and click here for the Senate Committee links for today and this week and click here for the Floor Agenda for Monday in the State Senate.

Most places of businesses will be operating as usual today- the notable exception being banks- most banks are closed for President’s Day and will reopen tomorrow.

Our reports from the Radio Oklahoma Ag Network are airing as normal today across our five state footprint.
