Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released the following statement after Chairwoman Kay Granger announced she plans to step down from her role as Chairwoman of the House Appropriations Committee:
“It is bittersweet news to learn that my longtime friend and chair, Chairwoman Kay Granger, is stepping down from her role as the Chair of the House Appropriations Committee. Throughout her long and distinguished career on the Committee, she has truly been a trusted leader and friend to my colleagues and me as we have worked to responsibly fund the government year after year. I would like to thank and congratulate Chairwoman Granger for her splendid work throughout her last 27 years in Congress, and I look forward to continuing to work with her as a trusted advisor,” said Congressman Cole.
