Cattlemen’s Conference – Stillwater, Oklahoma – 5/22/24 & 5/23/24

Cattlemen’s Conference is a type conference based around building and crafting the right kind of cattle.

35 years ago, cattle industry leaders came together and held the Blue Print for the Right Kind of Cattle Conference, focused on building cattle that fit the industry at that given time. Today, the industry has evolved and therefore, our cattle need to do the same.

Together, Cattlemen’s Congress, Oklahoma State University and the Noble Research Institute have partnered together to bring you the Cattlemen’s Conference.

This Year’s Focus:
Gene Editing
Breeding Systems & Heterosis Relative to Marketing Endpoint
Regenerative Ranching & Sustainability

Oklahoma State University Agriculture will partner with Cattlemen’s Congress and the Noble Research Institute to host a summit for cattle industry leaders on the OSU campus in Stillwater on May 22 and 23.

The 2024 Blueprint for the Future Cattleman’s Conference will offer panel discussions and presentations on gene editing, breeding systems, regenerative ranching and sustainability. Presenters will include cattle industry professionals from OSU, TransOva Genetics, the American Angus Association, Kansas State University and the American Hereford Association.

Oklahoma is one of the top five producing states in the U.S. for beef cattle production with a total inventory of 4.6 million head (2023 – U.S. Department of Agriculture National Agricultural Statistics Service).
