Winter Weather Advisory for the State with Possible Snow

Thankfully the Wind has died down a bit throughout the state after seeing up to 78mph winds in the Panhandle yesterday. According to State Climatologist Gary McManus, “Today’s excitement includes a massive winter storm to our NW which will clip the NW part of our state. And also some fairly significant severe weather to our SE, which will clip the SE part of our state.”

McManus says we could see severe weather in several areas of the state ranging from snow to damaging winds and large hail, and a tornado or two might even be possible.

Enjoy the mild temps today because with this front, we will see much colder temperatures which will take us back to Winter in a hurry. McManus says we will see some pretty decent moisture up in the panhandle. This weekend looks good though as temperatures climb back up into the 50’s and 60’s.
