One more day of HOT weather before cooler temps enter the State

It’s been HOT in Oklahoma the past week, but according to State Climatologist Gary McManus, cooler temperatures are on the way, “Watch for upper-90s to possibly a few triple-digits across the state, with heat index values up in the
110 range in far eastern OK. Then tomorrow, the rain and clouds move in, and we go back to the 80s for highs.”

McManus says we will enter into a mild, rainy pattern with summer storms for the next 7+ days, which will be a nice break from the extreme heat.

McManus says the rainy period could also continue well into the following week, which means we will continue to see milder weather conditions.
