Mike DeLaughter Joins Concept AgriTek Leadership Team as Director of Operations

Mike DeLaughter

Marking a year of incredible internal growth, Concept AgriTek has hired Mike DeLaughter to lead operational success and efficiency efforts in the newly created role of Director of Operations.

As an 18-year veteran within the manufacturing, engineering, and safety industries, DeLaughter brings a wealth of experience and insight to the newly expanded manufacturing operations at Concept AgriTek’s Charleston plant. Previously, DeLaughter served on the start-up team that brought the DuPont Pioneer soybean seed plant in New Madrid, MO online and has led environmental compliance efforts for Tyson Foods’ Dexter, Missouri plant for the past seven years.

“My goal, like everyone’s goal at Concept AgriTek, is to better serve our customers. My role in that will be to implement processes that make our Charleston location both safer and more efficient,” DeLaughter says. “The changes within this plant in the last year are truly exceptional and will allow us a lot of agility and quality with expedited process delivery going forward.”

When asked what attracted him to Concept AgriTek as a workplace, he shared that the company’s mission, size, and leadership all influenced his decision to accept the position.

“A word that is vital to me is culture. A lot of big companies like to use that word, but I don’t know if they can truly achieve it. Concept AgriTek is growing, nimble and can implement changes and processes that will quickly drive productivity. This company, focused on helping farmers produce more food, that started from the ground up without losing its local roots, is the American dream,” he says.

DeLaughter joined the team on November 27 and will be based in the Charleston manufacturing facility.

“The experience Mike brings to our team, having worked for Fortune 100 agriculture companies for decades, will be invaluable to streamlining our production processes and ensuring that we meet our customers’ needs in a timely manner during our busiest seasons,” says Concept AgriTek founder and CEO, Trey Curtis.   To learn more about Concept AgriTek, visit www.conceptagritek.com.
