Angus Commercial Cattlemen’s Day Happening January 5th At Cattlemen’s Congress

 Farmers and ranchers are invited to Angus Commercial Cattlemen’s Day on Friday, Jan. 5 in Oklahoma City at Cattlemen’s Congress. This event, hosted by the American Angus Association®, features education, competition and fellowship.   

8:30 a.m. – Super ROV Angus Pen & Carload Show Performance Arena  

8:30 a.m. – Association Booth Opens Super Barn  

10:00 – 11:00 a.m. – “Balancing the Consumer and the Cow” by Angus University Performance Arena This is an educational program for all types of cattle producers. Moderated by Radio Oklahoma Network’s Ron Hays, featured panelists include Mark Johnson of Oklahoma State University, Jesse Luckie of Snake Creek Cattle Company and Paul Dykstra of Certified Angus Beef. Dykstra will also begin with a market insights presentation before the panel discussion. Learn More  

11:30 a.m. – Angus Luncheon featuring Certified Angus Beef Performance Arena  

12:00 p.m. – National Angus Bull Sale Preview Super Barn Sale Arena  

2:00 p.m. – National Angus Bull Sale Super Barn Sale Arena Immediately prior, the sale of the Angus Foundation Heifer Package will take place. This year’s package is donated by Yon Family Farms of Ridge Springs, SC.   

3:45 p.m. – Social Hour at the Cattlemen’s Bar Association will honor the Herdsman of the Year finalists
 
5:00 p.m. – Live Auction benefitting Angus Foundation & Herdsman of the Year Announcement
