Cole Supports CR Avoiding Partial Government Shutdown

Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04), Vice Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Senate Amendment to H.R. 2872, the Further Additional Continuing Appropriations and Other Extensions Act, 2024.

“This continuing resolution is a responsible step forward to ensure Congress finishes the appropriations process and avoids a possible government shutdown as we continue to work with the Senate to complete regular appropriations bills,” said Cole. “We cannot forgo finishing the appropriations process to address the current evolving needs of our nation. The process and negotiations will continue to move forward, and I am hopeful to have everything wrapped up as soon as possible.”
