Ben Hale Says All Classes Of Cattle Selling Higher Than One Week Ago

Listen to Ron Hays talk with Ben Hale about the latest in the cattle markets.

On Tuesdays, Senior Farm and Ranch Broadcaster, Ron Hays, visits with Ben Hale of Western Livestock Auctions as he talks about the latest in the markets and more. Established in 1995, Western has grown into a multi-generational family-owned and operated business and stands as a symbol of tradition, excellence, and a deep-rooted passion for the cattle industry. Western Livestock Auctions is located in Oklahoma City, Woodward, and Comanche.

Hale said runs this week at the Oklahoma National Stockyards totaled around 6400 compared to about 8500 one year ago. Hale added that feeders were 4.00 to 8.00 higher.

In general, Hale said all classes of cattle sold extremely well compared to a week ago.

“Just a strong, very active market by lots of players,” Hale said.

Looking into the rest of the week, Hale said he expects Tuesday’s run in Woodward to total around 400 cows.

“I expect this market to keep getting better or staying where we are at, hopefully we will get a run on this board of trade and help us out,” Hale said.

Hale can be contacted at 940-631-2333.
