Compared with last Friday, boxed beef values were $3.77 higher. The Choice/Select spread narrowed to $4.80, down from $6.88 on Thursday, while load count declined to 60 from 115.
On the primal side, ribs slipped to $504.52 from $505.12, chucks increased to $336.98 from $332.75, rounds edged up to $333.06 from $332.48, and loins moved higher to $466.11 from $464.28. Briskets were steady at $294.29 compared with $294.01, plates rose to $256.49 from $251.89, and flanks increased to $172.71 from $171.82 on Thursday.
