Okfuskee County Cattlemen to Host Carcass Contest Awards and Beef Auction Feb. 26

The Okfuskee County Cattleman’s Association would like to invite the community to participate in their February 26, 2026 CARCASS CONTEST AWARDS AND BEEF AUCTION at 6 p.m. at the Okfuskee County Fairgrounds in Okemah. No membership is required to attend and a FREE steak dinner is provided.

Seven students from area schools are competing for the coveted belt buckle, cash prizes, as well as 100% of the proceeds from auctioning their beef. The Okfuskee County Cattleman’s Association is happy to provide this contest in their community for young cattlemen to learn, practice, and evaluate different feeding and finishing techniques.

During the night of the event, guests will enjoy a steak dinner, presentations about each beef, get to meet the producers, and bid on beef for their freezer. Fourteen halves of beef will be up for auction. RingMaster House of Meats LLC will be processing the animals and grading their meat for the contest. Buyers will be responsible for the processing costs and pickup from the Bristow processor of their auction winnings.

If you or your business would like to make a cash donation for prizes, please contact Tom Goode at (940) 393-9815 for more information. We look forward to seeing you all at our CARCASS CONTEST AWARDS AND BEEF AUCTION February 26 as well as our quarterly meeting February 26, 2026 at 6 p.m.
