Texas Cattle Feeders Report Feedlot Steers and Heifers Sold to Packers A Dollar Higher at $249 in Latest Week

According to the weekly market report released on Friday, February 20th by the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, both steers and heifers were sold for $249 out of the Association’s feedlots- up a dollar from a week ago.

According to the National Beef Wire- In the Western Cornbelt, trade was moderate to active on good demand, with live purchases trading $1.00 to $2.00 higher at $245.00 to $247.00, and dressed deals $6.00 to $8.00 higher at $388.00 compared to last week’s light test. In the Southern Plains, trade was limited on moderate demand. The last established market in Texas was $246.00 to $248.00, mostly $248.00, while Kansas last traded at $248.00 to $249.00, mostly $248.00.
