Stay Ahead of the Herd: Upcoming OSU Extension Event Focuses on Emerging Livestock Disease Threats

Crocker Veterinary Care is partnering with OSU Extension, CMN Extension, and MCN DANR and to bring you an important update on emerging disease threats in our area — including New World Screwworm and Asian Longhorned Tick. A collaborative effort between OSU Extension, CMN Extension, MCN DANR, and Crocker Veterinary Clinic is bringing a critical livestock health update to Oklahoma producers. The event, titled “Stay Ahead of the Herd,” aims to provide timely information on pressing biosecurity and health concerns currently impacting the region.

The program will feature Rosslyn Biggs, DVM, Beef Cattle Extension Specialist for Oklahoma State University Extension. Discussion will center on significant emerging threats, specifically the New World Screwworm and the Asian Longhorned Tick, along with other developing parasite and vector issues.
