OCF Fire Relief Fund Application Now Available

The Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation (OCF) has released the Fire Relief Fund application for cattle producers impacted by recent wildfires across northwest Oklahoma.

The application is intended to help OCF identify the extent of wildfire-related losses and distribute relief funds directly to producers who experienced damage to their cattle operations. Eligible losses include livestock loss or injury, damaged or destroyed infrastructure, fence replacement, lost forage and hay, and increased feed or veterinary costs related to the fires.

“We want to make sure we’re reaching producers who were impacted and getting assistance to those who need it most,” said Michael Kelsey, Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association Executive Vice President. “This application allows us to better understand the scope of the damage and move forward with distributing relief funds in a equitable and timely way.”

All cattle producers impacted by the wildfires are eligible to apply. Landowners incurring fence replacement costs are encouraged to file separately from tenants. Producers are asked to complete the application and include any available documentation to support their claim, such as USDA FSA forms, veterinary receipts or estimates for fence repair and replacement.

Completed applications may be mailed to the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation at 2500 Exchange Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73108, or emailed to mlayton@okcattlemen.org and mkelsey@okcattlemen.org. The application can be found on the OCA homepage at okcattlemen.org. For questions about the Fire Relief Fund application, contact the OCA office at
