Wheat Conditions Rank Mostly Poor In This Weeks Crop Progress

According to the latest crop progress report released on April 20th, 2026, Oklahoma’s winter wheat headed is at 30%, while winter wheat conditions are rated 10% good to excellent, 45% very poor to poor, and 45% fair.

Kansas winter wheat headed is at 15% winter wheat crop is ranked 24% good to excellent, 35% fair, and 41% poor to very poor.

Texas winter wheat crop is at 14% good to excellent, 31% fair, and 55% poor to very poor, while winter wheat headed for the state is at 30%.

Nationally, winter wheat condition ranks 30% Good to excellent, 37% fair, and 33% poor to very poor. Winter wheat headed nationally currently sits at 20%.

Corn Statistics

Kansas corn planted sits at 17% this week, compared to 25% a year ago. Kansas corn emerged is at 3%

Texas corn planted is at 65% this week, down from 68% a year ago. Texas corn emerged is at 59%

Nationally, corn planted is at 11%, even with a year ago, and corn emerged is at 4%

Soybean statistics:

Kansas soybeans planted is at 7% this week.

Nationally, soybeans planted is at 12% this week.

Cotton statistics:

Texas cotton planted is at 16% this week, compared to 15% a year ago.

Nationally, cotton planted sits at 11%.

Sorghum statistics:

Oklahoma sorghum planted is at 2% this week, compared to 4% a year ago
