
In the latest Crop Progress report from USDA, the U.S. corn crop is rated 57% Good to Excellent this week, down 3 points from last week. Soybean crop conditions are rated 60% good to excellent this week, down 1 point from last week.
The U.S. cotton crop is rated 37% good to excellent this week, down 1 point from a week ago. For the U.S. grain sorghum crop, the latest good-to-excellent ratings are 27%, down 1 point from last week.
Pasture and Range
In the southern plains, Oklahoma pasture and range conditions are now ranked 11% good to excellent, versus 17% last week and 55% a year ago. Poor to very poor ratings are now at 58%, versus 51% a week ago and 14% a year ago.
Kansas good to excellent conditions are ranked at 35% compared to 37% last week and 61% a year ago. Poor to very poor conditions are ranked 30% this week, 30% last week, and 14% a year ago.
Texas good to excellent conditions are ranked 16% this week, 21% last week, and 24% a year ago. Poor to very poor conditions are ranked 50% this week, 46% a week ago, and 38% a year ago.
The 48-state national pasture and range conditions are now at 21% good to excellent versus 23% last week and 37% one year ago. Poor to very poor ratings nationally are at 50% this week versus 48% last week and 32% one year ago.
Corn Statistics:
Oklahoma corn dough is at 91%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 45% good to excellent, 32% fair, and 23% poor to very poor.
Kansas corn dough is at 87%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 42% good to excellent, 27% fair, and 31% poor to very poor.
Texas corn dough is at 91%. Corn conditions rank as follows: 36% good to excellent, 31% fair, and 33% poor to very poor.
Soybean statistics:
Oklahoma soybeans setting pods are at 56%. Oklahoma soybean conditions rank as follows: 28% good to excellent, 32% fair, and 40% poor to very poor.
Kansas soybeans setting pods are at 78%. Kansas soybean conditions rank as follows: 50% good to excellent, 33% fair, and 17% poor to very poor.
Texas soybeans setting pods are at 82%. Texas soybean conditions rank as follows: 54% good to excellent, 34% fair, and 12% poor to very poor.
