National Sorghum Producers congratulates Luke Lindberg on his selection to lead the United Nations World Food Programme and thanks him for his service to American agriculture as USDA undersecretary for trade and foreign agricultural affairs.
“Luke understands the role American sorghum farmers play in feeding people around the world,” said NSP Chair Amy France, a sorghum farmer from Scott City, Kansas. “We appreciate his leadership at USDA and his commitment to connecting U.S. agriculture with global needs. We congratulate him on this new role and look forward to continuing to work together to fight global hunger.”
U.S. sorghum farmers have long contributed to international food assistance through programs like Food for Peace. NSP looks forward to working with Lindberg to strengthen the connection between American-grown commodities and the communities that depend on lifesaving food assistance.
