Emergency Drought Assistance Program Reopens for Oklahoma Producers

Oklahoma producers facing ongoing dry conditions have a renewed opportunity for financial relief as the Oklahoma Conservation Commission’s Emergency Drought Assistance Program reopened sign-ups today, October 5, at 8:30 a.m. The program extension provides critical cost-share funding to help agricultural operations implement essential water resources and drought-resilience practices.

Applications are accepted on a strict first-come, first-served basis through Friday, October 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Producers can submit applications directly to their local conservation district in person, via email, or by mail.

The program reimburses 80% of actual eligible project costs up to a maximum cap of $7,500 per producer or entity.

Program Details and Key Deadlines

  • Application Window: Opens Monday, October 5, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. and closes Friday, October 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
