September GRF collections 22.6% above monthly estimate

General Revenue Fund collections in September totaled $924.2 million, which is $170.3 million, or 22.6%, above the monthly estimate. This total is also $154.7 million, or 20.1%, above collections from September 2025.

GRF collections for the first three months of fiscal year 2027 stand at $2 billion. This is $154.7 million, or 8.2%, above the year-to-date estimate and $67.2 million, or 3.4%, above collections from the same period in FY 2026.

“September’s results reflect some of the timing factors we anticipated earlier in the fiscal year, with collections coming in well above the monthly estimate and the same month last year,” said OMES Director Mark Wood. “The first quarter of FY 2027 also finished ahead of both the year-to-date estimate and Q1 of the prior fiscal year. Looking at a longer period helps smooth out monthly fluctuations and gives us a clearer picture of underlying revenue performance as we move into the second quarter.”

September 2026 revenue tables are available on the OMES website.

As state government’s main operating fund, the GRF is the key indicator of state government’s fiscal status and the predominant funding source for the annual appropriated state budget. GRF collections are revenues that remain for the appropriated state budget after rebates, refunds and other mandatory apportionments, and after sales and use taxes are remitted back to municipalities. In contrast, gross collections, reported by the state treasurer, are all revenues remitted to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
