Choice Boxed Beef Drops 79 Cents to $368.11 on Tuesday
Boxed beef values were lower on Tuesday compared to Monday. The Choice cutout declined $0.79 to $368.11, while Select fell $1.93 to $365.19, narrowing the Choice/Select spread to $2.92 on 102 loads, compared with a $1.78 spread on 97 loads Monday. Choice Boxed Beef Drops Two Cents to $368.90 on Monday
Boxed beef prices were mixed on Monday, marking the first down day since January 9th. The Choice cutout slipped $0.02 to $368.90/cwt, while the Select cutout rose $4.73 to $367.12/cwt, narrowing the spread to $1.78. Load count totaled 97. On the primals, rib fell $1.55 to $490.71, chuck dropped $1.65 to $351.03, and loin declined …
