Hay Trade Picked up in the State with Freezing Weather

Hay trade picked up these past weeks due to most of the state receiving sleet and freezing weather. We
are beginning to see hay sold from farmers and ranchers out of leftover inventory.

As we look at the Oklahoma Mesonet Drought Monitor, we are at 10.17 percent in exceptional drought, 55.71 percent in an extreme drought, 79.21 percent in severe drought, 84.95 percent in moderate, 94.84 percent in abnormally dry conditions, and 5.16 percent that has no drought conditions are located in Adair, Sequoyah, McCurtain and part of Le Flore County.
