BASF’s Stoneville Legacy Club celebrates high yield achievements across the Cotton Belt

BASF’s 2022 Stoneville® Legacy Club™, which celebrates growers’ high yield achievements with Stoneville cotton, saw yet another record enrollment with 179 applicants. Thirty-four individuals qualified by harvesting yields in the top 10% of their states.

T&D Kohlleppel Farms of LaCoste, Texas, recorded the highest yield for 2022 at 2,694 lbs/A. Ten growers reported yields topping 2,000 lbs/A for the 2022 growing season. These winners join more than 200 other Stoneville Legacy Club members who represent top-producing cotton growers in their respective states.

“Our growers expect a certain level of quality and performance from the cotton they grow, and we’re proud to offer the kind of consistency and quality they’re looking for with Stoneville cotton,” said Justin Jones, Cotton Marketing Manager for BASF. “The bonus is getting to celebrate those high-yield achievements with them in person through the Stoneville Legacy Club.”

Top yielders received a trip for two to the Henderson Beach Resort in Destin, Florida, where they had the opportunity to connect with cotton growers from across the Cotton Belt. The trip culminated with an awards ceremony celebrating their achievements. This marked the first year the club has celebrated in person since 2020.

The following growers received special awards for their 2022 Stoneville cotton yields, in addition to qualifying for the Stoneville Legacy Club. Those who applied had the opportunity to enter yields in the irrigated and/or non-irrigated/dryland categories.
