Oklahoma CattleWomen Host Health and Safety Event coming up October 27th

OCW will be hosting an Ag Health and Safety Educational Event on October 27, 2024, at the Woodward Event Center in Woodward, Oklahoma from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This event is open to everyone, and the “cost” is to bring a non-perishable food item. OCW will be donating these to the local food pantry in Woodward.

More Details:

The Event kicks off at 9:00 a.m. at the Woodward Event Center and Fairgrounds.

Topics will include first aid and basic CPR presented by AirEvac and weather awareness.

Grit and Grace Consulting will talk about mental health in the ag industry. Andrine Shufran with OSU Entomology will share her knowledge of insects that we should be familiar with to learn how to prevent pasture and crop damage.

As CattleWomen, we know the importance of keeping our families strong and healthy and Dietician Emma Mortensen will present “Food in the Field” and the benefits of beef as a healthy and nutrient-rich diet.

We will have an Arrowquip chute onsite as their representative talks to us about chute side safety. Many Oklahoma Cattle operations are a family endeavor, and helping those families understand the need to work safely together should be our top priority.

We will also have a few door prizes to give out throughout the day so come and enjoy as you learn how to keep your family safe and healthy!

Lunch will be provided, but folks are asked to Register so they will have plenty of food.
