Ben Hale says Tremendous Markets This Week As Seasonal Downturn in Numbers Sets In

Listen to Ron Hays talk with Ben Hale about the latest in the cattle markets

On Tuesdays, Senior Farm and Ranch Broadcaster, Ron Hays, visits with Ben Hale of Western Livestock Auctions as he talks about the latest in the markets and more. Established in 1995, Western has grown into a multi-generational family-owned and operated business and stands as a symbol of tradition, excellence, and a deep-rooted passion for the cattle industry. Western Livestock Auctions is located in Oklahoma City, Woodward, and Comanche.

Hale said it has been another amazing week for the cattle markets.

“Lots of demand and a great time to be in the cattle business and the cattle marketing business,” Hale said.

Hale said that since this is the time of year when a seasonal downturn is usually seen in sale numbers, he expects runs to lighten up through the end of this month and April.

“We are still seeing a lot of heifers that are coming to town that the quality is good enough to breed- there is no doubt,” Hale said.

Regarding the livestock auction in Woodward, Hale said numbers have held up nicely, and the market has been extremely strong.

“We had about 3750 last week, and it looks like we are going to have a pretty good run this week,” Hale said.

Hale can be contacted at 940-631-2333.
