Seven winners of the 2024 National FFA Agricultural Proficiency Awards were named during the second session of the 97th National FFA Convention & Expo on Thursday, Oct. 24, which is being held in Indianapolis.
Agricultural proficiency awards honor FFA members who, through Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs), have developed specialized skills that they can apply toward their future careers. Students compete in areas ranging from agricultural communications to wildlife management. Proficiency awards are also recognized at local and state levels and provide recognition to members exploring and becoming established in agricultural career pathways.
One of the winners announced on Thursday was Trinity Blosch of the Stillwater FFA Chapter. Trinity was named the National Champion Proficiency Award winner in Agriscience Research- Integrated Systems.
Blosch has a Supervised Agricultural Experience involving five years of research on social, environmental, and food systems. Over the years, Blosch has significantly progressed in the complexity of her projects. Her research has included evaluating consumer and student knowledge about food and agriculture and testing bioremediation products used in contaminated fresh water. Blosch is a member of the Stillwater FFA Chapter in Oklahoma, and her FFA advisors are Bailey Kliewer, Carl Nipper, and Robby Branscum.
She is currently in her freshman year at Oklahoma State University studying Ag Education.
