For the first in recent memory- the three Oklahoma FFA members representing the state in the national speech contests all made the Final four in their category.
Cierra Collins of Frederick spoke in the Final Four of the Creed- Cierra placed fourth nationally in the 2024 Creed contest.
Cooper Kline of North Rock Creek made the final four in the Extemporaneous Contest- Cooper placed third nationally.
Coy Davidson was the last of the three to speak in their respective Finals of the three contests.
He drew first in speaking order- and gave his speech on agricultural espionage and cyber crime in the world of agriculture.
Davidson was competing against speakers from Minnesota and Texas in the Finals. Davidson is a senior at Elgin and has been working on this speech for a year- and that hard work in research and practice paid off with this national title. He is the 11th Oklahoma FFA member to have won the National Prepared Speech Contest.
