Winter Feeding Solutions and Cutting-Edge Kubota Equipment: Insights from Great Plains Kubota

Farm Director KC Sheperd caught up with Jeff Calender of Great Plains Kubota to see what is new with Kubota equipment.

Kubota offers a full line of equipment. From lawnmowers to RTVs up to 200 hp tractors. Cadender said, “Kubota is also a dealer for Vermeer, Arrowquip cattle chutes, and Hustler hay equipment.”

He mentioned that feeding solutions are the focus at this time of year as natural foraging becomes depleted and ranchers have to start feeding their animals. “Either you are unrolling a bale, bale processing – Vermeer Feed Mixers have really taken off. That is where our thought process is right now coming into the wintertime, and also saving money, reducing costs, and saving time for producers.”

Kubota offers demos of their equipment to be sure the buyer knows how to use their equipment properly and is satisfied with the performance of the product.

Christmas is just around the corner and a new piece of equipment would be a welcome gift. The RTV 1100s are climate controlled with a cab, and Vermeer Vertical Mixers are popular for cattle producers.

“Anything we can do to help out the cattle producers, ranchers, we really appreciate their business,” Calender said. “They are the backbone of our company.”

He is also excited about the new state-of-the-art Great Plains Kubota dealership being built on the intersection of Highway 9 and I-35 outside of Norman, Oklahoma.

Great Plains Kubota has ten locations across the state: Enid, Arnett, Shawnee, Ardmore, Ada, Clinton, Duncan, Edmond, Norman, and Stillwater. Visit the website to find a location and learn more about what Great Plains Kubota has to offer.

“I’m out of the Norman location, Outside Sales Pro, so I cover the area South of Paul’s Valley and out west to Minco. Reach out to me, and I’ll be more than happy to help you out,” Calender finished.
