A Packed Agenda and Exhibitor List at the 2024 Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show

The Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show, slated for Dec. 3-5, at the Amarillo Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas, will return with over four hundred exhibiting companies and a full schedule of opportunities for ag producers to gain certifications and knowledge to help grow their operations.

This popular trade show is back again in 2024 for its fortieth year. Located at the Amarillo Civic Center, attendees of the Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show can see a variety of products and services, including large harvesting and planting equipment for crops such as cotton, corn, wheat and hay, seed varieties, livestock equipment, tools, and insurance and banking services. Of the exhibitors in attendance, several dozen are new to the show. Attendees can visit dealers and see brands such as John Deere, BASF, Massey Ferguson, Claas and Polaris.

Attendees will find opportunities for certification and education at this year’s Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show. On Tuesday, Dec. 3, new events include two livestock education sessions conducted by the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine, Building Your Herd: A Look at Implementing Assisted Reproductive Technologies and Cow Culling Protocols and Sustainable Parasite Control for Small Ruminants. Livestock producers can get certified or re-certified at the Beef Quality Assurance Training Tuesday afternoon starting at 1:00 p.m.

There are new topics to cover at the returning Texas A&M AgriLife Extension CEU Workshop on Tues., Dec. 3. This session will earn attendees five continuing education credits.

The Texas Wheat Symposium and the Cotton Conference return on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The Texas Wheat Symposium is presented by the Texas Wheat Growers Association, with a market outlook and farm policy discussion. The Ag Appreciation Luncheon, hosted jointly with the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Ag Council, will return with serving lines open at 11:45 a.m. The keynote address for this free lunch event features Michelle Miller, known online as The Farm Babe.

The Cotton Conference, taking place Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., features cotton experts from across the High Plains covering topics including cotton growing, marketing, opportunities, and issues both domestically and globally.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will host Wildfire Mitigation Program and Ruminant (Cattle, Sheep & Goats) General Health Overview on Wednesday from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m.

4-H and FFA students are invited to attend the Panhandle Ag Education Day, in its second year at the Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show on Thursday, Dec. 5 starting at 10:30 a.m. The session will begin with a career panel followed by lunch and a scavenger hunt through the trade show to learn about the ag industry from panelists and exhibitors.
